WNY WELL REPRESENTED ON LIST OF 43NORTH SEMI-FINALISTS

Thirteen companies from Western New York (fourteen if you include Batavia) have made it through the first round of judging in this year’s 43North business competition and are in the running for the $1 million top prize to be awarded in October 5. WNY companies make up approximately 10% of the 134 semi-finalists.  Insyte Consulting’s Jack McGowan has served as a judge for each of the four years of the 43North competition.  “The judging process is very objective” according to Jack.  “The judges are very concerned about any perception of any ‘home town advantage’ and strictly adhere to judging criteria.

See the Buffalo News article  for details about the number and location of applicants and the 43North website for links to the semi-finalist’s websites.

Also, mark your calendar for the finals at Sheas’s Performing Arts Center on October 5.  It’s an event well worth attending.
