U.S. MANUFACTURING UP IN JUNE

The PMI Index from the Institute of Supply Management came in at 57.8 for June, its highest reading in almost three years, up 2.9 points from May. Also up were Production (+5.3), New Orders (+4.0), Supplier Deliveries (+3.9) and Employment (+3.7). Of the 18 manufacturing sectors tracked by ISM, all reported growth in June except three: Textile Mills, Primary Metals and Apparel, Leather & Allied Products. These national figures mirror some of the most recent manufacturing data for NYS and for the Buffalo Niagara region. See the full report here.
