TAKING STEPS TO ENCOURAGE FURTHER EXPORT-RELATED GROWTH IN YOUR BUSINESS

From our partners at Buffalo Niagara Enterprise:

In his 2014 State of the State address, Governor Cuomo announced the introduction of Global NY to Round 4 of the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) initiative. Global NY is intended to accomplish two objectives: attract international investment and jobs to Upstate New York and provide New York State businesses with the tools they need to maximize their export potential.

The state will recognize plans in the REDC Round 4 that incorporate global marketing and export strategies. These strategies should be supported by detailed assessments of international commerce activity and identify new export opportunities while placing emphasis on regional economic supply chain strengths.

Conducting a regional survey is a critical first step toward strategy development. This short survey is designed to collect information from selected companies like yours about your exporting activity and export-related challenges, as well as policies and measures you think could encourage further export-related growth in your business.

We hope you’ll choose to participate, as the survey will take no more than 5 to 10 minutes of your time. Your feedback will contribute to the development of a more effective export plan for Buffalo Niagara’s businesses.

Please note: The information you provide is confidential. Your responses will be aggregated and no individual comments or data will be released. Deadline for input is Monday, May 30. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Graham Smith at gsmith@buffaloniagara.org.
