State Manufacturing Jumps

Manufacturing activity in New York State soared in November according to the latest Empire State Manufacturing Survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.  The General Business Conditions index rose 43.1 points to 31.2, its biggest jump since Covid and its highest reading in almost three years, led by stronger New Orders (+35.2) and Shipments (+38.2 points).  The survey did not address what role, if any, the recent election may have played in these results.  See the full report here.
