STATE MANUFACTURING GROWTH SLOWS

The NY Federal Reserve’s October Empire State Manufacturing Survey indicates that growth for NYS manufacturers eased over the last month, falling -6.5 points to 10.5 (a reading above 0 indicates expansion).  New Orders, Shipments and Average Employee Workweek were all up, while Unfilled Orders and Inventories were down.  The future outlook six months from now softened, falling -7.5 to 32.8.  See the full report here.
