Recently we received the long awaited announcement that manufacturers within WNY are now allowed to reopen. Along with this good news, there are some required constraints to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
These constraints are in the areas of:
- Physical Distancing
- Workplace Activity
- Movement
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Hygiene & Cleaning
- Communication
- Testing
- Contact Tracing
NYS Department of Health has issued a document titled “Interim Guidance for Manufacturing Activities During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency”. (i.e. New York Forward). In addition, NYS DOH has also published a “Business Reopening Safety Plan Template” for manufacturers to complete, showing that they are conforming to these guidelines. We encourage all manufacturers to utilize this template.
Insyte Consulting is determined to assist our clients in implementing techniques to meet these guidelines. We will regularly post blogs, under the above areas, that WNY manufacturers can use to help abide by these guidelines.
We are all in this together; if any of our clients or partners have successfully implemented changes regarding these concepts and are willing to share with the WNY manufacturing community, we are asking you to submit them to us and we can share these best practices with all the manufacturers in our community. Descriptions, photos, examples, etc. would be beneficial and we can give you credit for any submissions that would be published.
Please submit any ideas to: info@insyte-consulting.com
