“Manufacturing conditions remained somewhat sluggish activity contracted in State in July” according to this month’s Empire State Manufacturing Survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The general business conditions index fell to-6.6 down 0.6 from last month (a reading below 0.0 is consistent with contraction). See the full report here.
