The November Empire State Manufacturing Survey ticked-up eight points to a reading of +1.5 indicating mild improvement, led by New Orders, Shipments, Prices Paid and Prices Received. Five other subcomponent indices remained negative including Employment. The General Business Conditions index has bounced between +10 and -10 since February with as many positive as negative readings during that time, indicating relatively flat business conditions for NYS manufacturing for most of 2016.
