Five awarded offshore wind projects in the Atlantic Ocean have generated a large need for New York State-based manufacturers that can produce various components in the Wind Turbine Package – nacelle, rotor blades and towers.
The New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) is hosting a free New York Offshore Wind Supplier Forum on December 8 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Upstate NY companies will have the opportunity to learn about the procurement process, qualifications as a supplier, and sub-components of each primary component. Suppliers will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with Buyers of the Turbine package and other components. Agenda for the event:
