The December Purchasing Managers Index for Buffalo-Niagara came in at 51.8 according to the Institute of Supply Management – Buffalo. Despite falling from 58.7 in November, December’s reading still indicated a slight expansion in manufacturing in contrast to the statewide and national indexes which both showed contraction in December.
