Looking for new customers? – Suppliers sought through MEP Supplier Scouting Service

The U.S. Department of Commerce Manufacturing Extension Partnership’s (MEP) Supplier Scouting service posts requests from companies and government agencies seeking U.S. manufacturers for a wide variety of products or contract manufacturing services.  Many of the requests require that the products comply with Build America, Buy America Act (“BABAA”) requirements  https://www.commerce.gov/oam/build-america-buy-america. Recent requests include:

  • Fire sprinkler heads
  • Low voltage control systems
  • Titanium dioxide electroplating onto 18” X 18” stainless steel mesh
  • Ingredient sourcing and blending of organic pre-workout powder
  • White corrugated box printed on all sides
  • Rotomolded PETE water jug with multiple built-in handles and threaded cap
  • Heavy duty metal frame fabrication including laser cutting, welding and CNC machining. Supplier must own Bystronic equipment.
  • Epoxy bottle cap adaptor
  • Blow molded 16 oz. glass water/juice bottles with caps
  • Fabrication of curved/semi-circular, phosphate-free silicate glass
  • Soda lime float glass used in windows
  • Water to air heat exchangers made of copper tubes and aluminum fins to be used in fan coils for residential and commercial appliances.
  • Fan motor, fan rotor and casing for residential and commercial appliances.

For each request, the MEP website posts a Supplier Scouting Opportunity Synopsis that details technical specifications and performance requirements, delivery requirements and cost and volume estimates.

New requests are received on a regular basis and generally have a required response date of 1-3 weeks. Contact Insyte Consulting if you would like to learn about how to submit your company’s capabilities in response to a request or if you would like to post a request to find suppliers for your company’s needs.
