One of the most innovative companies in WNY, in both new product development and shop-floor automation, has been acquired. Jiffy-tite was started in 1963 by Bob Zillig to produce quick connect-disconnect couplings for fluid systems, first for injection molders and later for automotive applications. In recent years, Jiffy-tite has tripled its revenues thanks in part to unique shop-floor automation capabilities developed in-house that enable Jiffy-tite to produce over 200,000 units per day. Jiffy-tite is an original member of Buffalo Manufacturing Works Founders Council.
