The holidays have been over for a few months, but if you’re interested in the local startup ecosystem the upcoming Buffalo Startup week is “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”
Powered by the Western New York Incubator Network, Buffalo Startup Week is a celebration of founders, funders, operators and community builders shaping the future of Buffalo’s startup ecosystem. Through panels, workshops, networking events and community moments, the week connects startups with the capital, talent and resources needed to grow.
Buffalo Startup Week events begin with the 43North Career Fair on April 15 and close with WNY Startup Open Mic Night on April 23. The days in between include:
- University at Buffalo Panasci Technology Entrepreneurship Competition Finals. Five finalist teams compete for $75,000 in startup funding and business services – April 16
- Buffalo Startup Weekend presented by WNY48. Creative thinkers, makers and entrepreneurs come together to pitch ideas, form teams, build products or prototypes, and pitch in a final demo session – April 17-19
- Ecosystem and Capital Day. Ecosystem and investor-focused content – April 21
- Founder Day. “Take out your notebook” content for active founders – April 22
- Close and Celebration. Half day wrap-up including keynote from Buffalo’s investing athletes (plus an after party) – April 23
