Buffalo, NY – Insyte Consulting, a non-profit management consulting organization that works side-by-side with manufacturers to improve their profitability and bottom-line results through a customized approach, has named Barbara Pilmore to its board of directors. In addition, Dale Gier has been named Board Chair.
Barbara Pilmore is the Plant Manager at FMC Corporation, an agricultural sciences company that is advancing farming through innovative and sustainable crop protection technologies. Her career in manufacturing spans 30 years and she has significant expertise in safety and quality, as well as utilizing Root Cause analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing tools to solve problems. Her commitment to serving the community includes volunteering as Girl Scout Troop Leader since 2014, serving with the Society of Women Engineers and as an advisory Board member for the Niagara Falls City School District P-Tech Program.
Insyte is also recognizing the impactful contributions of two additional Board members, Steve Calzi and Dr. Alan Rae. Calzi joined the Board in 2013 and had served as Board Chair since 2016, he stepped down in May and will continue to serve as a Board member. Dr. Rae joined the Board in 2019 and stepped down from the Board on May 30, 2024, coincident with his retirement. Both have been important champions for Insyte’s work to help WNY manufacturers innovate, grow and profit.
