Governor Cuomo has declared October as Manufacturing Month in New York State, mirroring the celebration of National Manufacturing Day which is Friday, October 3, 2014. The Governor’s proclamation reads, in part:
“…across New York State and our entire nation, manufacturing represents a vital sector of our economy and workforce…”
“…the manufacturing sector not only continues to be the backbone of our state and local economies, but has given New York a competitive edge in national and international commerce…”
“…manufacturers are continually developing new and improved products and achieving groundbreaking advancements that bear the hallmarks of innovative thinking and inspired visions…”
Thank you, Governor Cuomo for your support for manufacturing, especially in WNY where your Buffalo Billion program has been the driving force behind the SolarCity project and the new manufacturing institute. We look forward to writing a new and compelling chapter in our WNY manufacturing tradition.
