After Chemical manufacturing, Food is the second largest manufacturing sector in the Buffalo-Niagara Metropolitan Statistical Area accounting for almost $1.1 Billion in Gross Domestic Product in 2014 according to the US Department of Commerce. That’s an increase of over 24% since 2007, making Food one of the fastest growing manufacturing sectors in this area.
