FILLING MANUFACTURING’S NEED FOR EDUCATION

Ben Rand was recently quoted in a Business First story about an exciting new initiative that will support education development for future manufacturers. The Dream It Do It program, as Dave Bertola outlines in his article, is part of a national movement to build specialized skill sets for students in middle and high school technology programs. Rand, who sits on the manufacturers council of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, which will administer the local program, offers insight on the predicament regarding the need for education in relation to the hundreds of thousands of unfilled skilled manufacturing jobs.
