National Manufacturing Day brought out students and local leaders to tour manufacturers throughout Chautauqua County including Monofrax in Falconer, a maker of fused-cast refractories particularly for glass furnaces. County Executive Vince Horrigan was also on hand to focus attention on the importance of manufacturing in the Southern Tier and the growing need for skilled workers.
