The U.S. Department of Labor has been prohibited by a Federal Court from implementing a new Overtime Rule scheduled to go into effect on December 1, 2016. This Overtime Rule would have raised the minimum salary level to $47,476 for employees to qualify for the “white collar” overtime exemption.
