The announcement that an Italian cheese company, Nuova Castelli Group, bought Ashville’s Empire Specialty Cheese is a great win for all involved: the Italians, Empire, Ashville and especially Chautauqua County. Congratulations to the Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (which must be one of the best IDAs in all of NYS) led by Kevin Sanvidge and Rich Dixon, County Executive Vince Horrigan and the folks at Empire State Development. Thanks to their efforts, 80 jobs have been saved and millions in new foreign investment secured for WNY. Now what about free samples…?
