…Shepard said there are two good reasons to keep a clean desk.
“One, it gives the appearance that you know what you’re doing, and two, it’s a much more efficient way to work,” he said. “Simply put, when you’re surrounded by papers and folders and reminders of things that you could be doing. If you’re working on something and you see five other things around you, it can be distracting, whether it be sending emails, talking on the phone or working on a project.”
