The 43North Foundation unveiled its’ Ambassador Network to a full auditorium of local business leaders at the Burchfield Penney Arts Center on May 28.
The 43 North Foundation Ambassador Network is a structured network of business and civic leaders actively engaging in Buffalo’s innovation economy through flexible, curated opportunities aligned with their capabilities and interests. The 43North Foundation has already met with more than 200 business leaders to listen to their needs and understand how to create tangible, pragmatic ways for them to participate.
Leaders of local manufacturing companies including Rich Products, Sealing Devices, SoPark, and Moog were featured at the kick-off event and many others have already joined the Ambassador Network.
Ambassadors engage in activities such as supporting startups, developing talent, advocating for Buffalo, and participating in events and initiatives that both grow our region’s innovation economy and benefit their own company or organization.
There is no cost to be an Ambassador. The time commitment is flexible, with options designed to fit each member’s schedule. Ambassadors are expected to attend 2 to 3 high-value events annually and participate in one or more initiatives such as:
- Connecting with talent programs (internships, mentorship)
- Driving innovation in your company or commercializing new ideas
- Becoming an early adopter or customer of new innovations
- Investing directly in startups
- Showcasing stories of your company’s growth and innovation
- Elevating your role as a community or economic development leader
