NEW YORK MEP LAUNCHES PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT ASSISTANCE

Need help sourcing PPE? Do you currently or are you considering producing PPE?

The New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NYMEP), as part of its COVID Recovery Initiative, has announced a Personal Protection Equipment Assistance initiative, to help manufacturers state-wide to access supplies of PPE such as masks, gloves, gowns, respirators and sanitizer.

This program aims to assist small and medium manufacturers in forecasting their demand for PPE, maximizing PPE use, identifying and qualifying PPE suppliers, accessing an appropriate online supplier directory and selecting the optimal buying channels.

As part of the PPE maximization effort, NYMEP will also provide project subsidies to ten NYS manufacturers and high-technologies companies that are focused on technologies and processes around PPE maximization (cleaning and sanitizing technologies) to assist them with scaling their businesses.

NYS manufacturers begin by taking the NYMEP Non-Medical Personal Protective Equipment Survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H8KRWVS .This survey collects insights from businesses in order to design and implement programs to optimize marketplaces, suppliers, and purchasing of PPE.
