SIGN-UP TO BECOME A SOLARCITY SUPPLIER

SolarCity expects 20-30% of its supply chain will come from our region, according to Vinayak Gupta, VP of Supply Chain. “Maybe as high as 50%…[we are] still learning what is available in the area.” Gupta spoke at BNP’s Annual State of Logistics event. About half of the approximately 3,000 jobs that SolarCity’s new plant is expected to create are slated to come from the growth of area companies that will supply SolarCity with everything from raw materials and components to professional services and landscaping. Specific needs include: industrial gases and chemicals; aluminum extrusion, copper, stamping and anodizing; solar glass, back sheets and junction boxes; tapes, labels and packaging; and logistics.

To be considered as a supplier, complete this Intake Form.  Companies may then be invited by SolarCity to make a “formal capabilities presentation.” Learn more about SolarCity’s needs and the Q&A from their presentation from the BNP’s SolarCity White Paper
