Congratulations to our friends at Southern Tier who combined with another craft brewer, Victory Brewing, to become one of the largest craft brewing companies in the nation. The combination was made possible by a unique corporate structure created by Southern Tier in partnership with a private equity firm. The resulting holding company, Artisanal Brewing Ventures, will presumably give Southern Tier and Victory purchasing power and scale to reduce their costs while allowing them to preserve their distinct cultures and continue to operate and innovate with autonomy.
