ALERT: NEW OVERTIME RULE BLOCKED BY FEDERAL COURT

The U.S. Department of Labor has been prohibited by a Federal Court from implementing a new Overtime Rule scheduled to go into effect on December 1, 2016. This Overtime Rule would have raised the minimum salary level to $47,476 for employees to qualify for the “white collar” overtime exemption.  In other words, any salaried employee making less than $47,476 would have to be paid overtime. Learn more at Hodgson Russ’ website here.
