PRESIDENT NAMED FOR NEW WORKFORCE TRAINING CENTER

Stephen Tucker, formerly Assistant Director at the Partners for a Competitive Workforce in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been named President & CEO of the new WNY Workforce Training Center (WTC) to be located at 683 Northland Avenue in Buffalo.  The WTC , which will train workers for positions in advanced manufacturing and energy, is operated by the Economic Development Group, Inc. comprised of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance, Goodwill Industries, Buffalo Urban League and Catholic Charities.  “The WTC is one of the last major pieces of the original Buffalo Billion,” said Benjamin Rand, President of Insyte Consulting, “and its success in producing skilled workers will address crucial workforce needs for advanced manufacturers throughout WNY.”  See the official announcement here: 08.25.17 ESD WNY Workforce Training Center New President and CEO
