US MANUFACTURING TICKS UP

The Institute for Supply Management ‘s PMI Index rose 1.4 points to 58.7 in May indicating manufacturing expanded for the 109th month in a row. Of the 18 manufacturing sectors reporting, 16 registered growth in May. However, this report essentially pre-dates any impact from trade tariffs that went into effect at the end of the month. See the full report here.
