NYS MANUFACTURING STAGNANT

The N.Y. Federal Reserve’s Empire State Manufacturing Survey ticked up 0.6 points to 3.5 indicating that business conditions were little changed in December (a reading above 0 indicates expansion). This is the seventh month of sluggish, single-digit performance. Nevertheless, optimism about the future grew as the expectations six-months from now were up over 10 points to 29.8.
